So much to see and explore. Loved hearing about the history of the q station. The restaurant was so wonderful. Food was delicious and plenty of choices

Quiet except on Saturday night noisy guests still at 10.30pm, but someone was sent by reception when I phoned to complain and that person good humouredly asked the people to 'keep it quiet and have a good night' -- that worked almost immediately -- thanks heaps! Verandah and chairs outside very nice facility. Bathroom excellent. Daily bed being made etc was a luxury -- thank you. Staff in the breakfast room were very amenable. Availability of reception staff in person or by phone. Being able to walk around the extensive grounds and signage and historical information attached to each building. Limited car access was great, and the public bus was very good. North Head itself, in total, was delightful, fascinating in history and nature rserve and views -- the lot!

The stunning park location is a perfect place to unwind after the city. We spent 3 nts in the city then caught the manly ferry. Catch a bus 161 from bust stop c outside wharf and get off opposite Q station appx 6 stops (tap on and off) You are welcomed at reception building and then driven to your accommodation. We were in p23 block, had a really big room and bed, so comfy, and a shared porch. We grabbed a bottle of wine in town and sat overlooking the Harbour at dusk, stunning views. Breakfast was a good selection, I'd recommend this as nowhere in close area unless you wait til later. There's a lovely well made walkway bush walk to the north point and a cute cafe there, from there you can wander round and look for whales, great photo spots. Back on site you can look around at the buildings which tell you about the history and there are a variety of tours available. We took a ghost tour 8pm took appx 2 hrs 20 mins, was awesome. Learned about each building, went inside, used ghost meters and it was a wonderful experience. All in all I highly recommend this place, had begun to feel uneasy reading some recent reviews but none of them fitted with our experience. We will go back someday.

The location was perfect, the room was ok but no air conditioning which was disappointing coming from WA most venues are air conditioned I would have thought but maybe that is just the west coast. The view was nice looking at the bush. The walk down to the wharf cafe, beach and restaurant was nice, we got to spend the day there hiring kayaks when not having appointments.

The Settlers Cottage was perfect for our family of 5 (3 teenagers). The location was fabulous - 5 min drive to Manly and outstanding views of the harbour from our windows. The cottage was well furnished, heating in each room kept us warm in winter and the kitchen had a dishwasher and ample cooking equipment so we could make some meals ourselves. Couches and beds were also really comfortable. The shuttle bus is a great convenience if dining at the restaurant. Q Station is a historical site with a museum and lots of historical buildings - totally worth it to stay here to be able to see this brilliant and beautiful place! Restaurant is expensive but delicious. It’s a 2 or 3 course for a set price so we didn’t take our kids!

I loved the location - at the edge of Sydney, and yet immersed in nature. Might not be fore everyone as you need to take a (free) shuttle bus that goes about 6 times a day to get into Manly (or public bus which runs more frequently), but personally i preferred to be in the nature and have all the beautiful sights and sounds. I was lucky to get room 104, which was charged as a room without a view, but actually did have a bit of a view - i think most of the non-harbour view rooms don't have a view at all.

The room was amazing. Spotless and comfortable. The view from our balcony was fabulous. The property is huge, and the shuttle drivers were wonderful getting us to where we needed to be. The bathroom was massive and luxurious. My hubby and I loved it.

Friendly staff available all of the time for transport or help. Enjoyed the constant availability of the shuttle. Very accessible for me traveling alone with mobility issues. A beautiful location with amazing views and wildlife. I loved the atmosphere of remoteness, nature and feeling like I went back into history with the old authentic buildings. The restaurant and beach were gorgeous....with high quality oflive music!

The room was clean and very comfortable. The view was spectacular. The funicular was a bit of a workout but the effort was worth it.

It was a fabulous historic site and the hotel conversion was great - sensitive and faithful. We were right next to the former first class dining room, now a guest lounge - divine.
